Typically in most areas, the mosquito season is from March until November. There are some areas that see year-round mosquitoes. The best time to start is early spring to get ahead of the population. We have contract-free service plans that will help you with your specific needs.
Typically a normal barrier treatment will last 3 weeks (21 days) after the application and can expect our technicians to be out in that time period.
The natural barrier spray treatments are applied every 2 weeks (14 days).
No, you don't. Occasionally a homeowner would need to be home to make sure a gate is unlocked or pets are up. Our trained technicians perform the service and will leave a slip when they are done, leaving your property the way it was when we arrived.
The treatment will average 15-30 minutes. Some larger yards could take a little longer to service. If you do need to be home the treatment would only take about 30 minutes and you'll be good to go, Mosquitoes Gone!
We do NOT make you sign contracts for any of the mosquito service plans! All properties are different therefore priced individually, with our 1st spray special one of our technicians will come out inspect and perform a treatment. This gives you a chance to see if you are happy with the service and it also gives us a chance to price it accordingly.

Although the treatments start working immediately it normally takes a couple of treatments to achieve this rate.
If you are looking for a more permanent and effective plan you can check out the automatic mosquito misting systems, which will reduce the mosquito population more.
As long as the treatment has time to dry then rain should not cause a problem or make the treatment less effective. This normally takes 30-45 minutes. However, with our Guaranteed Gone, if you feel that the rain has caused the treatment to not work as well give us a call within 2 weeks then we will be happy to schedule re-treatment at no additional charge.
As a homeowner, you could definitely help reduce the mosquito population in your yard. The single biggest thing you can do is to get rid of the standing water that breeds mosquitoes. The list below are just some of the areas to look for but not all:
Dump water in birdbaths, toys, tarps, potted plant saucers, clogged gutters, tires, and buckets are a few.
Mosquitoes Gone only uses EPA tested and registered products. When these approved and registered insecticides are applied according to their labels are effective and safe. However, we do recommend kids and pets stay out of the treated area for 30 minutes after the treatment is performed.
We offer 2 types of insecticides to control mosquitoes for your situation.
Our main barrier treatments use synthetic forms of pyrethrins called pyrethroids. Pyrethrins are derived from the Chrysanthemum flower. Pyrethrins and pyrethroids are used in many household insecticides, pet products, and lice shampoos. Our products are water-based and will not harm plants.
Our natural insecticide product is a mixture of oils with a pleasant smell when applied to the property.
Mosquitoes Gone is very concerned about the honey bees along with other pollinators. When our trained technicians treat the property they look and avoid areas of concern. Blooming flowers and shrubs, vegetable gardens, and also take account of the wind to control drift. When a customer or their neighbors are beekeepers, we work together to come up with the best plan of action.
